It’s May 22nd and we’re still here.

May 22, 2011

Harold Camping has closely read the Christian Bible and has discovered that the world will end on May 21st. Except that it hasn’t. Dozens, if not hundreds, of charlatans have made similar predictions. All have failed. They have failed because they are based on superstition and mumbo-jumbo, on the mythology of ancient shepherds.

I too have a prediction. The world will end (become uninhabitable) in 5,000,000,00 years, when the sun swells and the amount of radiation falling on the Earth makes life impossible. This prediction is based on hard evidence concerning the life cycles of stars, not the crazy suppositions of ignorant primitives.
